About Me

My name is Rizwan ud Dean and I have a Bachelors Degree in Information Technology from the University of Central Queensland and a Masters Degree in Management of Information Systems from the same university. I have also completed a Microsoft based course on Microsoft Exhange 2007

Working in companies such as the Fiji Electricity Authority and Telecom Fiji alongside global IT industry professionals, I was also the ICT Manager of Fiji’s second largest newspaper company the FijiSUN. As well as possessing technical skills in the area of Systems Administration of Windows server platforms, I also specialise in Strategic Management of ICT/IS services, IT Law, BCP/DRP of not just ICT SBU’s/departments but total coverage plans for organizations and E-Commerce solutions.

Information Technology has always been an interest of mine because I find that the world of IT is one world where we can make rules that may be bent or broken. The computing world, specifically has no real fixed set of rules. Those rules that do exist are merely there for the computers needs, not for the humans. Humans are free to bend the rules to any extent they wish and even re-define the rules to suit their needs. In the real world however, this is not possible.

I believe in a world where IT doesn’t just play a role in our lives. I believe in a world where IT is our life.
